This was my journal entry this morning.
Father, I want to live the life of faith and extraordinary life in You!
I want to step out of the mundane and see the life of the Apostles. I want to truly become one of your Disciples and to walk with you in the supernatural way that you have made for us to walk in.
I want to live in the abundance and believe for the unbelievable.
Lord I need to overcome my doubts and be overcome by faith and trust in you. That can only happen by the renewing of my mind, the filling of my soul with your Spirit and the faith that you are good!
Reveal to me the power of your resurrection and the indwelling of a Spirit controlled life.
Show me Lord how to walk in a way that changes the circumstances and world around me. Show me Lord how to walk in a way worthy to be called your Disciple.
Grow me Lord into the image of your Son. In Christ Jesus name, amen.
I was elk hunting all last week. While I was up there I realized how much I miss what I guess I would describe as a true life of faith. I kept having experiences where God would put something on my heart that I was sure would come to pass. However, again and again they don’t.
What I did realize when I got home and was praying about it is that they do usually happen!
When we moved to the new house we were so excited about the pear tree, but it had like 12 little pears on it and half had been eaten on by the birds. Kind of a bummer. But, We ended up with 3 grocery bags and 2 flats of pears from different places. We had plenty to eat fresh, can and make pear butter out of, which is my favorite.
We didn’t plant any beans or tomatoes this year, because they haven’t done well in the past, but yet we got 2 flats of tomatoes, 3 grocery bags of green beans and again enough to fill the cellar and eat fresh.
Again and again I keep seeing how the things that I have planned, are not working out but yet the things that we need are always being taken care of. The best part is that it is with little or no real work and abundance with all that we need.
I am realizing that I miss the life of faith that I used to live. Before life and ministry got so hard and I got beat up.
I am realizing, I believe as part of the process of healing, that the powers of darkness in this county have won, up to this point, because they really have silenced me.
I have complained and been angry and hurt, but not allowed God to really flow through me again, because I have been afraid to step out in faith. I have experienced the abundant life, but have allowed my life to become complacent because of the hurts of the pas,t and my unwillingness to trust God enough to bring me back to wholeness.
I long for the real and for the transparency of the true Church. I long for the worship and fellowship that we have experienced in the past and I am ready to move forward and find it again.
Corinne and I are praying for something “EXTRAORDINARY” that we can do to get things moving forward again. We are going to be joining with others to start a study of what does the life Jesus spoke of really look like. It will be led by the group and not by us! So if you feel like you need more… If you feel like the life you are living is not all that it is supposed to be then come and join us. We are going to seek the Holy Spirit and dive into God’s word and seek the Kingdom until it is revealed in at least our lives!
